- SPECIFICATIONS: This ARES Impact Grade Socket Adapter/Extension 2-Pack Set includes two sets of three 1/4-inch hex shank, 3-inch-long socket adapters that turn any impact drill driver into a power socket driver with extra reach. This set includes two 1/4-inch, two 3/8-inch, and two 1/2-inch adapters, as well as two small holders to keep these extensions together in one place.
- DESIGN: Each adapter is made of heat-treated chrome vanadium steel and coated in Manganese Phosphate for industrial or mechanical use and meets or exceeds ANSI/ASME standards. The spring-loaded detent ball design ensures sockets are secured to the adapters.

I bought these for my recent work on my car, I needed to replace the intake manifold for a 2.0tsi engine, and these came in really handy since my intake manifold has some hard to reach bolt location and the wobble makes it easier to connect the socket to the bolts/ nuts.
The condition of this product is phenomenal and I will continue to replace and expand with ARES tools.
I haven’t had any issues with it, and I received the item new and it worked as expected.

The kit worked and fit well with different drivers. The sockets fit well also with no slop. Held together under extreme pressure and removed/tighten without destroying the adapter.

These look to be well made. Nicely machined. Fit the impact chuck and sockets perfectly. Nice spring ball to hold sockets in place. Extended se will tell if they are strong enough to be reliable. I usually mislay them before they break so I got 2 sets to insure I always have them on hand. At this price it’s hard to beat.
