Very sturdy reformer. I was incredibly wary purchasing a reformer from a company that wasn’t one of the more well-known ones, like Balanced Body or Stott. I almost got cold feet and canceled it before it shipped, but overall, I’m happy I went through with the purchase. It’s rock solid, but because it’s a foldable reformer, I can sometimes feel a little bump when going over the fold during certain moves. If the floor isn’t level this could make the bump worse. I’m assuming you wouldn’t have this problem with a non-foldable reformer. For exercises that don’t go over the fold, it is super smooth and quiet.
That being said, the reformer I received was NOT the one shown in the pictures. The one I got actually looks identical to the PersonalHour Zous 2.0 reformer. The front platform is not removable (and is a combination of padding and non-slip surface) and the jump board is taller, but I actually prefer this. The risers for the pulley also attach differently and there is only one set of wheels. I wish there was another set closer to the floor to make it more maneuverable. There are 5 springs as shown in the picture (not 6 as stated in the description): 1 yellow-light, 2 blue-medium, 2 red-heavy (no clue what the lbs are because the PersonalHour website says something different than the Q&A).
It arrives 95% assembled. You have to attach the shoulder blocks and risers/pulley/ropes, but that can be done very quickly. No assembly directions came with it but it’s pretty intuitive and looking at a picture is enough. Honestly, the part that took the longest was uncrating it and taking off the plastic wrap.
I would have given the product 5 stars but took off a star because the product doesn’t match the description/photos and for the small bump. I’ve only used it a few times, but I think it’s pretty good value for the money, considering how much reformers usually cost. When it comes to customer service and part replacement, only time will tell. I would recommend this reformer for your personal practice, especially if you’re looking to save money. I got mine on Prime day so it was an especially good deal.
UPDATE: Looks like after my review they updated the photos to match the actual reformer.

I’ve had my eye on this reformer for a while and I’m so glad I finally purchased it because it’s phenomenal. Don’t let the “foldable” portion fool you. It is so sturdy and secure. It’s quiet, slides beautifully, and it is comfortable. Definitely valuable for the money! It’s also very easy to assemble, the third party delivery scheduling was a breeze to set up, the seller was very responsive with my questions, and the truck driver was very kind. Make sure you have someone to help you move it out of the crate it comes in but once it’s set up, the weight is totally manageable. Enjoy!!

Positives: this is a sturdy machine. It appears well made. It rides smooth and quiet. The springs do make a tiny bit of springy noise, but not enough to be annoying.
It is heavy, but after you figure out how to lift it, it is only mild to moderately difficult because of the weight. That might not be an issue if you are taller and younger than me. I am 5’1”, 145 lbs and 62 year old woman. I can fold/unfold and move it by myself. I have been using this for almost a month now. I am short. In order to lie with hips and knees in a 90/90 position, I angle the foot bar in a forward position towards the platform and it fits perfectly. Since I am short, my shoulders do not rest near the shoulder supports if I am using the spring board. I have not had difficulty doing cardio without having my shoulders resting against the shoulder rests. I find it very comfortable and less pressure on the shoulders.
I appreciate that the shoulder supports are attached to a metal plate and the parts are metal. No plastic to break.
The spring board feels amazing. It is padded nicely and offers a good bounce.
The springs are easy to change resistance. I wish there were 6, but I’ve been able to make all the colors work.
The pulleys are sturdy. The loops are plush and comfortable.
The delivery was a threshold delivery, which means they set it inside my door. It required a signature.
I removed the crate top and one side. I was then able to slide the machine out of the box and onto my rug, by myself. The machine was packed well. I assembled this myself without difficulty.
Now the negatives: user/assembly manual lacks details. Thankfully it is very intuitive to finish the assembly.
Nowhere does it tell you how to fold or unfold this thing. Nothing tells you that you must secure the carriage with the strap provided when folding. For some dumb reason, I thought it was just part of the shipping. The carriage just rests on the frame. It is the heaviest part of the whole thing. The legs also have to be shortened to fold it. While trying to figure this all out, the carriage fell off twice.
Even the video skips the process. I don’t like that the only way you secure the carriage is the strap. I don’t know what a better way would be. After folding and unfolding a few times, it becomes routine and not that big of a deal.
The legs are stabilized with a pull knob and a turn handle. They stick out and are quite uncomfortable when you bang into them. I plan to replace them with a turn knob. The legs are quite stable and sturdy. I am happy with them for that.
The description says it can be stored in a small space, even under a bed. No way. First, you have to remove the pulley bars to minimize the footprint. Even then it is a bit over 18” deep. I besides that, there is no way you are laying this on the floor and easily gliding it under a bed. It would have to be an awful tall clearance. There are 2 wheels on one end. They work well for rolling, but don’t help with unfolding.
Customer service is very receptive and eager to make this the best reformer available. They happily took my feedback regarding a better user manual, especially lack of instructions for securing, folding and unfolding. I am happy with this reformer. I would recommend it.
