I did a ton of research before deciding on buying this reformer and I love this reformer! Its a good one. it makes exercise fun. Be sure to get the one with the stand. It is worth the extra money because it really makes getting up and down off the reformer easy. It comes with the rebounder and the bar, so you can switch them out for added exercise variety. It also comes with a large poster to hang so you can follow the exercises. I have not used the DVDs cuz there are so many great videos on you tube I just didn’t need the DVDs, so I can’t tell you about those. However, get on you tube and you will find everything you need to know. The hand/foot loops are padded with a faux sheep skin so they are very comfortable to use. The head rest is very supportive and comfortable. I love lying on my back and exercising, make it feel so relaxed and its so low impact, but you really do get a good work out too. I feel my abs working within a few minutes. The unit feels very sturdy and solid. i have it on carpet so can’t say how it would do on hard floor. But if you have it on flooring, it might be good to get one of those pads they sell, to protect your floor if it is nice wood or something you worry about. For carpeted floors it is great. There are so many exercises you can do on this machine, it never gets boring. I assembled it myself, and it was not hard at all. took about 30 min. Just read the directions carefully and you should not have a problem. It is pretty easy to move, i just grab the base and drag it out to the middle of the room when i want to use it. Because of the base, you can’t fold it. If you want to be able to fold it, don’t get the base cuz it does not fold. However, the base sure makes it nice. It does require some space but you can always put it up agains the wall and pull it out from the wall a few feet to use it. You want about 3 feet of clearance to do some of the exercises where you have your legs out to the side.

After looking for a long time for a machine that wasn’t butt ugly and a price of junk, I finally pulled the trigger on this one and am so glad I did! It was easy to set up and works smoothly. They ropes and handles are probably the least premium dealing part of the whole Ms home, but I bet I can find a way to eventually switch them out if I want. I leave mine out 24/7 so can’t speak to ease of folding up and storing, but based on the set-up, it seems pretty straightforward!

Instructions were easy to follow, and the machine is great! Obviously not top quality but it’s good for the price! Carriage does bump a little at a certain spot when moving but otherwise good.

Really smooth and fun and I love the little trampoline attachment, took about 46 minutes to build. Kinda big so don’t know where to put it but overall it’s great. But one of the cords loosened so we had to retie it.
Note: that review was written by my daughter. We bought this for her to replace (or reduce) private pilates lessons which were very pricy, and so far it’s a good deal. The item is high quality and works well. I imaging it would work for a variety of body sizes and functions as expected.

I gave this machine 4 stars because, while it is a great, affordable option for a home reformer, it is definitely a few steps down from what you’d find in a studio.
I’ll start with the pros:
It was fairly easy to assemble – my husband put it together pretty quickly without any issue.
The jumpboard is a nice feature if you like to add cardio into your Pilates practice.
The machine is fairly smooth and quiet.
The straps are comfortable and sturdy.
The carriage is a nice size that can accommodate various body types and sizes.
Now, the cons:
The cord system is, in my opinion, very different from springs you’d find on a studio reformer. They are all one resistance, so it’s hard to figure out how many/how little to use when you’re working out. I had to buy a yellow cord, because even one black cord was too heavy for exercises like side arm series.
The footbar doesn’t move forward or backward, so it can be uncomfortable doing certain exercises where I would typically move the footbar down a notch or two to accommodate my height.
I am currently in training to become a Pilates instructor, so this is a pretty valuable addition to my home gym. I can practice more without spending money on several classes per week, and I can put create workouts and use this reformer to teach others in my home. I will be purchasing the box/magic circle, and probably a heavy red cord (if they ever come back in stock).
All in all, i’d say this is a great machine to have at home to supplement your practice when you can’t get to a studio class. If you’re new to Pilates, I would highly recommend you take classes in-person with a certified instructor before just using this machine, so you understand order alignment and have a basic understanding of how the exercises feel on a studio reformer first.

This is my second pilates reformer by Stamina. My first one lasted 25 years of daily use before the wheels crumbled. They are no longer available so decided to replace it with this one. This one has a stand which is an upgrade from my previous model. It’s very easy to get on and off and it doesn’t move at all while doing so. The platform has a slight triangle shape for wider hips which is also an upgrade for me. It was a bit challenging to assemble but my husband was able to get it together in a few hours. It glides smoothly. Headrest and padded straps are a blessing for us older folks. The only thing i wish could be changed is the frame does not lock so when i move it a bit to clean, it goes crooked instead of staying straight so it then needs readjusted to align correctly again. Overall it’s a great machine and I’m expecting it to last my lifetime.
