I bought two of these to use in built in cabinet that sits under my flatscreen tv. I had the cabinet mfg simply leave the door panels off ( I think it’s technically called “prep for glass”). I simply cut them down slightly with metal shears and installed using glass glazing points. I wanted to keep the doors open so infrared remotes would work video games, dvr, stereos etc. I also didn’t want to use that black speaker material because I have little kids and didn’t want them pushing the fabric in. These grates worked out fine. They look great, add visual interest and are sturdy. They also matched my brushed nickel hardware.
I saw the other reviews that mentioned shipping damage. I ordered these along with a bunch of other items so Amazon basically put this at the bottom of a big box – so no problems.

I needed to replace a think piece of slate in an A/V cabinet to allow for airflow around electronic devices. The slate was thick and I was pondering ways of how I could mount something much thinner in the space. This item worked perfectly. I rough cut the metal with tin snips and then fine cut it with scissors so that it was centered and had enough tension/friction against the wood of the inner cabinet space that nothing else would be needed (pic 1 of 2). It doesn’t budge, and looks good. It comes with a clear coat finish over it, but I also painted the outside black (pic 2 of 2) and that worked out well too using a “paint & primer in one” spray paint. I’m pleased with the results.

I bought this for a Pinterest project to hang necklaces. Overall, it’s a very good-looking sheet. I used tin/aviation snips to cut through it. In the end, it was fine for my use, but very expensive for the purpose I had.

Good quality product

I used them to cover the vents on a wall heater. I cut the pieces to fit, used contact paper to secure, painted, added knob.

bought this to make my own AC return grate because it’s oddly shaped and large, it worked out great as concept so far or I’d show images. I had to glue them down with gorilla glue and have yet to put them in place because of curing time. But none of this is product or seller issue. The item was exactly as pictured and expected. Very easy to work with and cut to fit.
If the glue won’t hold for the return, I now have some cool wall decor to use 😉

My design for a bar area had one major glitch: a huge air intake on the wall where I wanted to put the bar. My designer suggested terrible ideas like having a big gap between the bar and the wall. Not to be discouraged, I visited Pinterest and saw this suggestion, so I ordered the cabinets, and I ordered this metal sheet. My contractor made quick work of it, and I LOVE LOVE the result. I initially thought I’d spray paint the sheet, but it actually matched my wine fridge perfectly, so I kept it as is!

I own a custom woodworking company, Rust and Oak, when it comes to specialty projects I’m always on the hunt for something unique to suit my client’s requests. This cabinet required some flair to match finishes in the space. These metal detail grates were perfect and easy to work with. I had to cut them down a bit, which at first was tricky until I cut them down with the Dremel tool and a metal cutting disk. That solution worked best if you’re trying to cut them. They can be left plain or as you can see, painted to your liking. They turned out great and did exactly what I needed them to do!

This is just a perfect piece of cut metal to insert into my cold cellar door. It needs some circulation in there but is unsightly so this piece of metal makes a perfect “vent” to that little room under the stairs.
Thumbs up –
This sheet is not .2″ thick, it is 0.02″ thick. Also worth noting that they may not ship this flat. Mine came bent up in 2 spots and almost a full fold in a 3rd spot. Not worth the effort to try an reflaten it out as you can still see the kinks in sheets that are this thin.

I used these instead of glass in the cabinet doors on my built in. Allows air to circulate and looks great! Arrived in good condition. No problem cutting them down to size. I used tin snips I found in the tool box.
