I sprayed Pet-Pourri Sunday in the air in the hall at the top of our stairs. Wednesday night I started down our stairs and felt the sole of my athletic shoe hit the oily residue that still remained from it on our wooden stairs. My feet slid out from under me and I went down on my bottom, and back slamming my tailbone, pelvis, back, and forearms as I tried to stop myself. I ended up stopping with my feet at the bottom of the stairs. X-rays showed I broke a piece of bone off my outer leg bone, and I was diagnosed with multiple contusions and sprains. The Pet-Pourri smells great and does what it says it will do. And I used it as directed in the air (and on fabric), but who knew the oily residue would still be there on my wooden steps 4 days later? We’ve been up and down those stairs at least a dozen times since Sunday. It just happened my shoe was in the wrong place at the wrong time on Wednesday night and met up with the oily Pet-Pourri leftovers of Sunday. Be careful with this in your house if you have wood, tile, or vinyl flooring. It’s every bit as oily as its parent, Poo-Pourri. The scent rids the pet smells, but I hope the manufacturer will consider making it in a spray powder form or maybe add another ingredient to evaporate the oil quickly, if that is possible.

I live with two cats in a small apartment space and unfortunately, one of my litter boxes is by my front door. I’m always worried about people passing by in the hallway smelling the litter and when people first enter my apartment, this has been great to help relieve some of that smelly stress. Though I do have to frequently use it.
I am able to use it around the cats’ litter box without any issues of them avoiding it. While I do have to frequently use it, I guess that’s a good thing because it’s not eliminating the urine smell to discourage them from going into their litter box.
The scent is not my favorite but I’ve also tried one of their other products for cats. There’s the litter one and while I prefer the scent for that one, it just doesn’t do the same job. This is it. This is the one. My cat has the smelliest poops, she’s even woken me up with how smelly they are and I spray this once or twice and BAM everything is better for all of us.

Not a big fan of the scent.

My cat Lucy has a cattitude problem. Any time we move a piece of furniture or disturb her environment in any way she expresses her intense displeasure by peeing on something. It’s often a bed or my nice electric lounger faux suede couches! I’ve spent so much money trying different odor eliminators I could have had a nice start on a college fund for my son. I ordered the Pet-Pourri with a bit of health skepticism, a lot of desperation, and a dash of mom guilt. To my delight, it works. One application on the cat tree and mattresses, two applications on her favorite “cat box” couch cushion. It’s been about two weeks and the urine smell is still gone. There is still a very light lavender smell but you have to get inches away to smell it. To address some concerning comments in other reviews 1) I love the smell, but I know that’s going to be different for everyone. 2) It has not left a residue that I can feel. 3) The company says it is safe for animals, but I keep them away until it’s completely dried because essential oils can be toxic to pets if ingested. I definitely recommend trying this one. It’s a winner for me, although Lucy is giving me the evil eye and planning her retribution.

Purchased the air freshener and the pet spray because my huskies seriously stink when they are wet. One of them finds the smell of the spray offensive while the other one is okay with it. One wonderful surprise I found is it makes a fantastic ant killer. It kills on contact and the ants hate the smell.
Haven’t seen any ants in quite a while!

I have a multi cat home and this stuff works great. The scent is nice, though a bit much when you first spray – but it dissipates quickly. Has to be used regularly. Works great in the air and on fabrics.

Very pleasant smell. use only a little! it stays for about 3 days on any cloth or rugs. It doesn’t seam to bother my Cats at all. Best one I have gotten and i have gotten a lot to cover any Cat’ s smell from sickness to just being a Cat. Try it.
