Item not as shown in oictures at all, its not bright silver, nor is there any sort of chamfer on the bottom as was indicated in photos, nor was the inner hole concentric with the outter diameter. One star deduction because of this due to zero functionality being lost. But imagine buying a car and its a pedal bike… both get you where you want, but its not what you paid for…

Appears to be well made; works as expected. Makes it much easier to insert ground rod into soft or wet soil; still used a T-post pounder in some cases where the ground was too hard.

The SDS-Plus Ground Rod Driver has made it a breeze to drive ground rods. I am a certified electrician, and perform this kind of work quite often. Before this purchase my tools of choice were a manual post driver and a 20 pound sledge hammer. In rocky or hard soil, this job could take hours. I mounted this driver onto my HILTI hammer drill, and will never again use anything else to drive ground rods. The first job I used this tool on required driving six eight foot ground rods in relatively rocky soil. I had them all driven to ground level less than an hour by myself. I am now a believer. Thanks Amazon!!

It worked better than I hoped.

I drove in 2 x 8ft copper ground rods into very hard rocky / clay soil with ease using a SDS rotary hammer drill (in hammer only mode) with this bit. It took just 5 minutes per rod. I highly recommend this tool for the job, especially as it’s USA made.

Did the job it was needed for

I poured water in the location I was driving the ground rod and a couple times while driving it. Drove it right down.

I used this to pound in 4ft rebar into clay and stone filled soil. Worked amazing. Maybe a proper sledgehammer would be better, but since I am not skilled enough with hand-eye coordination to pound in that way, this was by far the better option and left my arms far less fatigued.
Took about 1-4 minutes per 4ft rebar using a low end Bosch Bulldog rotary hammer in hammer only mode.

Useful for setting or pounding large anchors into cement without damaging the threads
