I am big into DIY projects and decided due to weather damage to put some siding on our outdoor casita. It seemed a bit like a daunting task until I found these cool siding installers. They basically hold your siding in place so you can secure them by nailing the siding in. Without them you would either need another person to hold the siding for you or use clamps and stands to hold them. The siding tools are actually not heavy but made of sturdy and durable materials. The instructions are super easy to follow and actually make installation so fast which is a total bonus. If you install siding on a regular basis this kit would be an invaluable tool for you. I personally loved using it so much and the improvement to our casita is amazing!

Have not used the tool as of yet. Waiting until next spring when I install hardee board. I have no doubt the tool will do exactly as it was meant to do during the install process.

You really had to double and triple quadruple check each time you were hanging a board because they were prone to slipping and you had to pretty much tighten them all the way down double check triple check, and a few times that would shift without you knowing and you’d have to waste a board due to it I’m thinking since these are plastic and knock off of the real ones I would assume the actual namebrand ones would work better And for the cost of siding specifically hardy board one board being destroyed pays the difference and you can get the namebrand ones I probably destroyed a dozen 20 boards with due to these shifting cause if you to remove all boards back to the one that was off. I ended up using those boards that got destroyed for starter strips so it wasn’t too bad but if I had to do it again, I would definitely make sure I buy a namebrand one of these because these are a must for hanging siding, and also, I would highly recommend buying a siding specific nailer off the back framing nailers do not work Hence why you can’t find correct nails for framing nailers first time doing siding so you learn.

The guides were very helpful when installing Hardie Plank siding. It would have taken much longer and wouldn’t have looked nearly as nice. I would recommend these to anyone putting up cement fiber siding.

I have a Pac Tool Gecko and they work great. This item is very similar but leaves a gap where the siding can slide into. Although labeled for 5/16 siding, it may work for thicker material. I am installing Hardie 6 1/4″ siding. The siding can be damaged when it falls..

This siding tool has been a total game-changer for my home renovation project. It’s like having an extra set of hands, holding the cement boards steady while I nail them in place. The adjustable spacing feature is super handy—no more constant measuring to get consistent gaps between boards. We’re putting up Hardie board planks, and this tool makes it so easy that you can definitely do it yourself! It slides in under the second board, spacing it perfectly. You can adjust it to change the gap size, ensuring the lines are straight around doors and windows. It works great! I originally bought a set but had to return it because I needed a building permit for the work. Then I found them on Amazon. The tool is sturdy enough to hold a full 12-foot board, which is impressive for a plastic tool. The rubber grip is a nice touch and hasn’t left any marks on my pre-painted siding. Installation is easy once you get the hang of it—it took me a few tries to find my rhythm, but now it’s smooth sailing.
