My husband has realized that I have fallen in love with the design of this bench, either used for sitting or for kneeling. I’ve used these for gardening, weeding, sitting and there are so many other areas that this can be used too. I need to confess that I now own several of these, due to all of these practical uses, and wanting to have one at our vacation trailer too. This one boasts the beefiest construction, being a solid, stable unit. And the blue/green coloring is quite attractive. It does need to be put together, but was a fairly easy job, just don’t cut the white support straps until the screws have been secured.

Being older I’ve discovered it’s become more challenging to get up after being on my knees and the handles on the side are one of most desirable parts of this design, as rather than struggle to stand, possibly hurting myself, I can evenly press on each side for standing. The padding on this is thicker than most, adding comfort for kneeling or sitting. After hip surgery, this was placed in our bathroom, not occupying much space, but being extremely convenient.

There’s a wide variety of similar designed units available. However if you’re looking for quality and sturdiness, this one gets my vote.

Works as intended, however build quality is on the crude side especially for the price. When deployed open, there is some wobble at the lock joints, not enough for function or safety concerns if used as seating though. When collapsed, a pair of the exposed leg screws will scratch into the paint of the other leg pair as shown in their description image. The seating/kneeling padding is very dense, so while not too comfortable, it should handle rugged use. The attachment of the padding is on the crude side however, with noticeable uneven excess glue and uneven trim. The weight is slightly heavy for its size and use case. Came mostly assembled, requiring only the two sides to be attached to center.

I’ve been using the SILFISC Garden Kneeler and Seat for a few weeks now, and I must say, it’s a real gem for anyone who loves to garden but isn’t as spry as they used to be. This 2025 model has some upgrades that make it stand out from the crowd.
First off, the assembly was a breeze. Took me about 10 minutes to put together, and I’m not exactly what you’d call a handyman. It’s lightweight, which is a big plus for me because I can easily move it around my garden without feeling like I’ve just done a workout.
The EVA foam seats are thicker than most, providing a cushion that’s kind to my knees and back. I’ve spent hours weeding and planting without the usual aches and pains. The stability is impressive too; it doesn’t wobble or feel flimsy, which is a common issue with some of the cheaper models out there.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the large tool bag. It’s spacious enough to hold all my essential tools, and having them right there on the kneeler means I’m not constantly getting up and down to fetch something. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in the flow of work.
Now, here’s a consideration for some shoppers: this kneeler doesn’t have the dual tool pouches like some competitors. But for me, the single large bag is more than enough, and it keeps things organized without the risk of tools falling out when you flip it over.
I’ve used this kneeler to plant some new perennials in my flower beds. The comfort it provides allowed me to work longer without needing to take breaks, and the ease of getting up and down was a godsend for my aging joints.
In summary, the SILFISC Garden Kneeler and Seat is a thoughtful addition to any gardener’s toolkit. It’s sturdy, comfortable, and practical, making gardening a joy rather than a chore. If you’re looking for something that will last and make your gardening sessions more enjoyable, this is definitely worth considering.

Weather warmed up in the afternoons to 60 degrees, and the previous day’s rains had softened the land to the point could create a rose bed. On the garden bench, the hoe and I discovered the remains of a sidewalk with a brick lining holding back black loam topsoil. The blue and green garden bench makes the work more pleasant, especially as one sifts the soil from the plants being removed. The seat is firm but comfy, and the height is such that you can quickly get up. Flip it over, and you can protect your knees while turning the soil with a hand tool. It’s a good height to sit next to my wheelbarrow and fill it.  Later, did a 38-inch by 12-inch turf removal to prep for a heirloom rose. Took the removed material and filled a dip surrounding a clean-out pipe in the yard. Now, the garden bench is on the front porch against the stone wall. On the side exists a hanging set of pockets for small tools, seeds, or reading material about plants. It will get plenty of use this year as I put a landscape in.

This bench is very easy to assemble, took less than 10 minutes. I like that you can use it as a seat or a kneeler. And it was the kneeling position that had me most anxious. I’ve had to give up gardening because if I can get down to a kneeling position, I cannot get back up without some kind of help. When it is used as a kneeler, the legs become handles and they are just right to push up against to a standing position. Be aware that the handles do have a little give (they have to in oder to be able to fold the bench) so don’t let that throw you when you use them to stand up. I love that I will now be able to garden again!
