I have a propane fire but that we use for the majority of our outdoor fire pit nights but I recently got a Solo Stove Ranger and I love it, the only problem is since we have a gas fire pit I rarely have fire wood on hand for the Ranger. That’s where this awesome accessory comes in. I place this little tray inside the Ranger and it lets me dump in the same pellets I use for my smoker and use them as fuel in place of the fire wood. Without this little tray the pellets would just cover the bottom of the fire pit and block the air holes and clog everything up but the tray sits up off the bottom to give that air gap that lets it continue to burn properly. It’s well made and it works great and it definitely increases the versatility of my Ranger and lets me get a lot more use out of it when I don’t have fire wood. It’s only $36.99 at the time of this review and in my opinion it’s a fantastic value and a must-have accessory for your stove if you also have a smoker and keep pellets on hand. I would definitely recommend this!

I love my Solo Stove……..bought it when it was a new product, on one of those “backer” sites.
Since then, I’ve added a heat reflector, a fireproof mat, and a couple of other accessories.
I saw this and ordered it.
Heavy metal, with a sturdy handle, it fits perfectly into the bottom of the stove, and holds pellets, pellets and wood, or just wood, improving upon the already very efficient combustion and full burning of material placed in the stove. This increases your options for fuel to burn, in that pellets won’t really work in the standard set up.
Keeps the bottom cleaner as well.

This Ranger Pellet Adapter is an excellent addition to my family’s Solo Stove Ranger. It’s extremely well made, solid and hefty, and seems to have excellent quality materials. It fits well, has no imperfections that I can see, and does a good job.
My husband, who predominantly uses the fire pit, really likes it a lot, and since the Ranger doesn’t fit regular sized logs well, he particularly likes that this device allows him to convert his more portable Solo Stove to pellets, which makes it simpler and easier to use.
Two True for You –
We purchased a Yukon Solo Stove fire pit last year and haven’t used it yet because the wood in our small outdoor wood rack looked mostly rotted and I am too “cheap” to buy firewood at the local big box store, always thinking that I will pick up wood/sticks somewhere but I just haven’t. And then there is the “keeping the wood dry and free from snakes, etc.” I had been reading about converting the stove to a pellet burner so when I saw this I thought I would give it a try.
The metal is decently thick. The handle is durable and the adapter fits perfectly. I can’t wait until it cools off enough to fire up the stove. If there are any issues with warping or anything else I will update this review.
